Spay/Neuter Assistance Program
Enhancing Pet Health and Reducing Shelter Overcrowding
Our Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) provides support for pet owners in Contra Costa County needing spay and neuter services for their companion cats and dogs. Our goal is to support as many pet owners and dogs and cats in need as possible to reduce the number of homeless and shelter animals.
In partnership with International Veterinary Outreach (IVO) and Contra Costa Animal Services (CCAS), we are pleased to offer low-income Contra Costa County residents assistance with spaying and neutering their companion pets through our Clinics held at CCAS monthly.
Spaying and neutering helps prevent health and behavior problems and reduces the number of homeless pets in shelters, all of which improves the quality of life for dogs and cats in our community.
