We value the opportunity to help you find your next family member and want to ensure that that animal is a good fit for your home, lifestyle and other family members (animal and human alike). There are so many good reasons to adopt a pet — first and foremost — you are saving life!
All of our animals available for adoption are spayed/neutered, dewormed as necessary, vaccinated and microchipped.
We recommend browsing our adoptable cats and dogs first, then complete an application where you will be able to indicate any specific animals of interest. Plus, this will help us get the best idea of the type of animal you desire.
All adoption applications are reviewed based on the order in which they are received. Some animals prove to be quite popular, so if multiple applications arrive within a 24-hour period, we will review applications based on the order in which they arrive and then assess compatibility based on the available applications. Our goal is to make the process as fair as possible while keeping the animals’ needs at the forefront.
Animals in our care may be either in a foster home (within Contra Costa County) and/or residing at Kitty Corner; animals are only available for meet n’ greets by appointment. We are typically able to set up those appointments with 24-72 hours of application receipt and approval.
